Improv for Caregivers is a class to help anyone learn more client communication, self-care, and resilience skills specific to caring for others! Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine's Medical Improv Training was developed with medical but also therapeutic improvisation specialists from Second City and elsewhere! HEAT is licensed to provide this training to any care giver, paid or volunteer, who could benefit from more skills. Frank Bublitz was a social work professional, mental health peer specialist, and is now an improv coach and performer. He teaches the ten-hour course to nurses, social workers, personal care aides, and anyone who provides what may be the most stressful and rewarding career in the world! Improv for Caregivers not only teaches the most state of the art "bedside manner" skills, it also teaches how improv can equip the caregiver to deal more effectively with burnout and stress! Cost is $30 per person per hour, but discounts are available with our Membership packages!
